The goal and vision behind Heavy Handsome has always been to instill confidence in other big guys like myself. I know what it’s like growing up as the “fat friend” or the “fat kid.” To be honest, growing up that way isn’t easy.

Many of us develop a lack of confidence because of how we look and how others make us feel. We start believing we’re somehow less than our smaller friends simply because of our size. It took me until college to realize that being bigger wasn’t a curse—it was only a problem if I allowed others to define my worth.

I learned to embrace who I am and make people accept me for me. Now, you can’t tell me nothing—and I say that humbly. Confidence isn’t about your size; it’s about how you see yourself.

Through Heavy Handsome, I want to help other people see their worth, embrace who they are, and walk with confidence every day. Your value isn’t determined by your appearance. It’s determined by the person you are and the confidence you carry.
